Hockley Organics

Hostas We are professional gardeners with a 20 year practice, based in Hockley Valley north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hockley Organics is a result of years of search and research. Over that period we have trialed, tested and observed product from many sources looking for the best fertilizer and pest control for our company.

Organics — Practically Perfect!

Our search for the best and most effective products led us inevitably to organics and during this time our company, for hard headed practical reasons, became organic. There is not much room in business for sentiment or emotion. We use and promote organic because their performance is superior, period!

Organics - Scientifically Sound!

Organics are also directly aligned with the latest research of soil biologists, who insist the best means to nourish plants and keep them healthy is to have a thriving population of soil organisms which in turn will feed the plants. Chemical fertilizers lay waste to these populations and further destroy soil structure. They degrade soil to the status of being simply an inert medium for holding fertilizer and water. The user, because there is no natural fertility left in the soil, is forced from that day forward to constantly buy and apply expensive fertilizer to their garden.

Organics — Nature's Food!

Organic fertilizers furnish more complete nutrition including micro-nutrients, they balance the soil, feed soil organisms, help to keep soil structure open and feed plants in a manner that respects nature's millions-of-year's-old perfectly evolved model.

We also think that it is important to start to listen to our deeper instincts and to people whose motivations are concern for people and the planet. We invite and encourage you to try our product line.
